What can Anthony Kingsley Travel do for you?

I hope that this website will help to inspire you to travel, to explore, to wander, and to wonder at our  world.

I hope that it will inspire you to travel better, as in terms of being more conscious of the need to travel better. We cannot be perfect but we can be better. This means looking at better ways of travelling to our destination where possible.

It means ensuring that the money we spend remains in and benefits  the destination in which we are staying.

And most importantly it means avoiding the usual over touristed spots where this is possible. It is about being able to enjoy the wonder of travel while at the same time recognising that our travel will inevitably be detrimental to the global environment. But the pandemic has shown us that while restricting travel has been beneficial to the natural environment, the consequences for the people who depend on travel and tourism have been profound.

So let’s travel, but travel better.

Anthony Kingsley Travel gives me the opportunity to showcase how I write about travel, destinations, hotels and some of the activities associated with travel. 

Although I am as partial as anyone else to “fly and flop” holidays on a beach, most of my travel writing will be centred around my particular travel interests, such as sustainable travel, wellness travel, gastronomy (including wine, but oenology is so hard to pronounce), culture, history and active holidays with cycling, walking and nature featuring prominently. 

I am a copywriter, the Travelling Copywriter, and a Travel Agent, so much of my writing will focus on why you should want to exxplore the area on which I am writing, to have your own adventures, rather than on my own experiences.
